Hi,

I feel your pain -- my baby 11 weeks also suffers from colic. Some days are better than others, although the past 2 days have been brutal. To calm her down - the vibrating, papasan chair works with a binky - we use the avent brand. But, to be honest it makes me feel guilty to stick her in a chair and put a plug in her little month.

I searched high and low for Colic Calm - but cannot seem to find the product in any of the local stores. I ordered it online, and in the meantime my husband picked up a product called Gentle Naturals Tummy Soother. I cannot find any reviews online about it and am hesitant to try it, but am at my wits-end. Has anyone used this product?

Well, did you find the solution that worked? Ours is driving me crazy and I can't figure out what to do... and this is number 3! The first two didn't have colic. Help!

Try 'Rooibos' tea. It comes from South Africa, that's where I come from too. AFAIK it is reasonably easy to find in the USA nowadyas. We drank it growing up as children, but it is also MAGIC for cholicy babies.

It contains no tannins or caffeine, or other bad things. Do some Googling for it, lots of info on it.

It tastes yummy for adults too. As it doesn't contains tannins you can let it stand to cool down, or refrigerate and it doesn't get bitter.

Really good stuff.

We would be willing to give swaddling a try again, if only we knew that Molly did hate it so very much.

The GripeWater seems to be working, although we have found an alternate company that makes it with chamomile extract as well. It's certainly worth a try.

Today, however, nothing worked and I spent the day listening to Molly scream. I'll be completely white-haired or bald before this year is out, I swear!

Molly is really cute. Sorry to hear she's crying a lot...I've got one more suggestion I don't see in your list... "Swaddle"

It REALLY works for us when Madelyn is super fussy right before bedtime. She sleeps longer in the swaddle too. I highly recommend it.

We have 2 of these (http://www.kiddopotamus.com/p_swad.php - sent by a friend who used them on her daughter) and a First Years one.

You can try it with a blanket

http://ww4.americanbaby.com/ab/story.jhtml?storyid=/templatedata/ab/story/data/newbornbasics_swaddling_03072003.xml&catref=AB17

if you don't want to buy one of these just yet. She may not like it at first, but just try give it 10-15 minutes and rock her in your arms.

We swaddled Madelyn only a few times during the day when she was little(r), but now we only do it at bedtime, usually 10pm. Since she was born, Madelyn has been sleeping a least 4 hours, usually 5 and sometimes 6 hours straight and then nurses back to sleep for 3 to 4 hours more.

Our biggest "problem" with Madelyn is that she doesn't sleep very long unless you're holding her or sleeping next to her - she'll sleep in the swing sometimes, but not more than hour and usually less, and she really needs a couple good naps a day. There's LOTs of cuddling going on here. :) Of course, she's still a newborn at 11 weeks.

Good luck. It's really heart (and ear) breaking when they scream without us knowing why. Let me know if you want any info on cloth diapers.

Also, I love this Anita nursing bra. (#5075) http://earthybabes.com/Store/WsDefault.asp?Cat=nursing&Sub=20&isThumbs=No&Thumbs=

Very nice under form fitting tops.
