Here are five additional things I have learned since the birth of little Miss Molly:
“Colic” is not something that only happens to other people’s babies.
Sleep IS something that happens to other people.
Little babies can quite literally grow before your eyes.
You can adapt to/be non-chalant about getting #1 and #2 all over your fingers whilst changing a diaper. Same applies to spit-up on your brand new sweatshirt.
There is nothing more amazing than little fingers clutched tightly around yours.
This probably doesn’t come as a surprise to anyone, but babies don’t like to be cold.
Really. They don’t like it.
Last night we tried something new to get The Bean to sleep: we turned up the thermostat to 80°. Yes, I know that sounds really warm, but for a baby that hasn’t got body fat to keep her warm, it’s not unreasonable.
With some grub in her tummy, Molly passed out and snored like a contented Sea Monkey.
