Parenthood, Week Two

Here are five additional things I have learned since the birth of little Miss Molly:

  1. “Colic” is not something that only happens to other people’s babies.

  2. Sleep IS something that happens to other people.

  3. Little babies can quite literally grow before your eyes.

  4. You can adapt to/be non-chalant about getting #1 and #2 all over your fingers whilst changing a diaper. Same applies to spit-up on your brand new sweatshirt.

  5. There is nothing more amazing than little fingers clutched tightly around yours.

Cool Beans

This probably doesn’t come as a surprise to anyone, but babies don’t like to be cold.

Really. They don’t like it.

Last night we tried something new to get The Bean to sleep: we turned up the thermostat to 80°. Yes, I know that sounds really warm, but for a baby that hasn’t got body fat to keep her warm, it’s not unreasonable.

With some grub in her tummy, Molly passed out and snored like a contented Sea Monkey.

Our Photos

These days all our photos are stored on Flickr. Pretty much just like everyone else. Our old photos are also still available.
